AUDIENCE FEEDBACK
DigiPak (Ancillary Texts)
Initial thoughts
(please specify)?
- Sophie: ‘So ‘’STAND-OUT’’ I love the individuality of it put together. The image behind the CD confused me slightly, maybe consider keeping it more plain or colourful.’
- Jade: ‘The front cover and DigiPak overall is very eye-catching and would be easily spotted in amongst other CDs or in a store/online. The use of effective contrasting colours throughout is very visually interesting and I really like it.’
- Hayley: ‘Your DigiPak is eye catching and appealing due to its brightly coloured elements. It would definitely grab my attention if I saw it in a shop. I especially like the front cover-it is very ‘now’ and is a very good way of representing a new artist. The only criticism I have would be that you can’t see the text very clearly on the inside cover.’
- Zoe: ‘I like how the colours on each piece match to make it feel like the same product rather than different ones. I also think the effects on the front and inside cover are very visually interesting and cool’
How does this
DigiPak design link to my Poster design?
- Sophie: ‘The powder paint is a clear link and the use of standout colours are as well. They both have similar ‘themes’ of a happy vibe and definitely link in the sense they represent the dance music genre!’
- Jade: ‘Both use similar colours therefore keep to the similar themes-as well as the fonts and overall ‘vibe’ which I think allows it to become so effective.’
- Hayley: ‘The concept of Powder Paint and bright colours makes a direct link between the DigiPak and Posteràthe repetition of the album name ‘Afterglow’ and artist’s name ‘Luna Judge’ also contributes to their connections well which I particularly like.'
- Zoe: ‘They have the same colour scheme and text and text style. Uses the name of the artist, record company and album name on both with also the same prop of powder paint as a theme running throughout’.
How does this
DigiPak design link to my Music Video?
- Sophie: ‘The powder paint theme comes to mind but in the DigiPak I don’t get the feel good vibe…it is more series despite the colours.’
- Jade: ‘The theme of powder paint and expressing yourself is a clear link throughout the DigiPak.’
- Hayley: ‘The concept of Powder Paint is maintained’
- Zoe: ‘The prop of powder paint is linked in both as well as the artist featuring predominantly in both.’
Does this design
link/show the dance music genre? If YES or NO state why?
- Sophie: ‘It does and doesn’t. Yes because bright colours and Powder Paint suggest fun, friendly and good times etc. but no because a lot of dance is happy, and the DigiPak facial expressions doesn’t reflect this as well.’
- Jade: ‘Yes, it links to a female dance music genre well, especially the mirrored effects used on the front and inside cover-giving a very trippy/dance vibe’
- Hayley: ‘Yes. The DigiPak is very creative and suggests a lot of movement which links to the dance aspect of the music genre.’
- Zoe: ‘Yes, it is vibrant and colourful giving the up-beat feel of the dance music very effectively.’
Is there anything
you would change? Please specify.
- Sophie: ‘Having the female smile in one of the pictures!’
- Jade: ‘There is very little I can see that needs changing-it’s really cool and indie.’
- Hayley: ‘NO! There is nothing I could say I would change-I really like it.’
- Zoe: ‘Certain bits of the text may be hard to read such as ‘Afterglow’ on the inside cover as it is in white against a light pale background. I would make this more visible but other than that I love it!’
